Description
316L is a standard molybdenum grade and ranks second in the importance of 304 in austenitic stainless steels. Compared with 304, molybdenum has better overall corrosion resistance, especially in the chloride environment with higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It has excellent molding and soldering properties. It is easy to brake or roll into various parts for industrial, construction and transportation applications. Class 316 also has excellent welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.
It has excellent high temperature resistance and excellent work hardening. The cold-treated steel pipe has high precision and good surface finish. In addition, cold drawn steel can produce seamless steel tubes of smaller size and better quality.
